Java / Scala Developer - Berchem - Internal position
For our customer in Berchem, we are urgently looking for a Java / Scala Developer. As Java / Scala Developer, you will be involved with the development and maintenance of the commercial applications of our customer. This is not an external consultant role.
This position is open for European candidates, who are fluent in English. Our customer is open for Junior candidates who are willing to learn and want to become expert.

- Responsible for the development and maintenance of commercial applications; New applications are created from scratch;
- Work together with development teams in Belgium and abroad;
- Requirements analysis;
- Functional specification;
- Prototyping;
- Development of unit and integration test suites, plans and programs;
- Integration with other applications;
- Production of technical documentation;
Profile - Java / Scala Developer:
- Bachelor or Master Degree or comparable through experience;
- +2 years of Scala experience;
- +2 years of Java experience;
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of OO, design patterns and standards;
- Knowledge or experience with OSGi and/or ReactiveMongo is an advantage;
- Experience with one or more frameworks: Hibernate, Spring, Ant and/or Maven is an advantage;
- Methodologies: Agile, Scrum;
- You are fluent in English;
